3 Award Nominations

Our office recently received a phone call informing us that Andrew has been Nominated for 3 Awards at the Maja Awards - Canada's Premiere Multinational Red Carpet Awards!  He has been nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Performer of the Year and New Artist of the Year!!  We are honoured once again!  The Awards Ceremony takes place on August 25, 2007 in Toronto. Be watching for the results!

CMC Distribution To Release “First Stage” Project

This March CMC Distribution (Canada’s largest distributor of Christian music) will be releasing a compilation of Canadian Southern Gospel and Country Music to be called “First Stage”. The project, set to release March 6th, 2007 will feature 15 songs from artists from across Canada. The roster of featured performers will include multiple (GMA Canada) Covenant Awards winners like The Torchmen Quartet, Marlene O’Neill, Andrew Martin, The Master’s Four and Canada’s Double Portion. The project will also include tracks from The Young Street Vocal Band, Freedom, High Valley and Sweet Presence. Executive Producer Martin Smith describes the project as an introduction to the great wealth of Canadian Southern Gospel and Country Music. “Our hope is that through First Stage retailers, music fans, the media and concert goers will discover the diversity and strength of Canadian music. We believe that the album will be a great introduction to the abundant talent to be found in Canada”, says Smith. "We're the proud owners of a new vehicle"

Thanks so much for your prayers for a favourable insurance settlement and for wisdom. Although it did take several weeks to come to an agreement, at least everything is settled!

Knowing that trying to purchase another bus at this point would put us under the burden of debt, and since our ministry has never operated in debt of any kind, we decided to get a van instead of a bus. Thanks to Pastor Stan Madigan (Peterborough, ON) for his help in finding something perfect! Our new "home away from home" is a 1997 Savana van with the Explorer conversion. It is in excellent condition, very comfortable and a joy to drive! We are certainly blessed!

"Andrew gets top Radio play in Canada"

From January 30 to Nov 15 2005 Andrew had 13 songs that played over 50 times each. For example : Andrew had 13 songs play a total of at least 650 times, or over 2 per day average plus all of the songs he had played less than 50 times. Andrew actually had 1340 songs play in those 9 months which is equal to 5 per day. You can hear Andrew on many Gospel Stations across Canada like Lighthouse FM which you can listen to online at http://lighthousefm.ca. Also don't forget to call in everyday and request that you hear Andrew's music on your local christian radio station. Let's all help spread Andrew's music around the world.

Andrew's music is being played on the Syndicated International Program "God's Own Country" which features the best of Christian country music! God's Own Country is heard on over 320 stations each week in Australia, New Zealand, SW Pacific, the Philippines and Canada. Andrew was honored by Dave Toycan of World Vision Canada with a plaque for Special Appreciation for helping World Vision acquire over 70 child sponsorships for the year 2005. Andrew says "I am honored to receive this recognition however I want to triple that number for 2006". This was Andrews first year working with World Vision.

"There Is A Mansion" Goes #1

There is a Mansion, written by Andrew Martin in 2003, was released to Country and Christian Country radio in Europe July 1st.  The song debuted at #4, but by the end of the month had shot up to #1 on both charts!  It joins "I Know My God Cares For Me" as Andrew's chart topping hits for the summer of 2005 with New Christian Music.  These accomplishments only solidify Andrew as an international artist.
